My story
My name is Patrick Yim, and I am the creator of Yim Creations.
This business is not where I originally thought that I would end up after college, but after less than ideal results in the job market, I started working delivery. Due to the Covid-19 shutdowns and other situations, it just wasn’t cutting it like I thought it would. Because of this, I turned my hobby of candles into business to keep myself afloat.
I thought it would be a quick thing, but I was blessed with amazing customers and supporters all over the United States who have truly pushed me and lifted me up. I never could have done this without all of you. Now after almost a year and a half of selling, Yim Creations has crafted 36 unique scents, spans 39 states, and has wholesaled to 5 stores. I have even had the opportunity to hold fundraisers with different organizations. Our largest one has raised $900, and I can’t wait to hopefully hold more to further help other organizations whether that be for the organization or for their philanthropic endeavors.
I don’t know what the future holds for this little business, but I can’t wait to find out.
The Products
Wax - I use a wax from the company Nature’s Garden. You can check this supplier and their company in the link. It is a special unique blend made from soy wax, vegetable wax, minor amounts of food grade paraffin and proprietary ingredients from Nature’s Garden. Wax is vegan friendly and animal cruelty free.
Fragrances - All fragrances used are created from trusted candle and fragrance supply companies. I do not add any extra essential oils to my products. The only essential oils used are tested and blended Fragrance oils from my supply companies. All oils used are “clean scents”, Phthalate free as well as vegan friendly and animal cruelty free.
Shipping/Packaging materials - In packaging your products, we want to make sure that it not only arrives safe, but that it also gets to you as eco friendly as possible. Candles are wrapped in paper or paper bags. The packing peanuts are recycled from our supply shipments, and are NOT styrofoam. they are biodegradable corn nuts.
